I’m certain to a lot of you reading this who aren’t in the business of insurance, you’re probably going to have a hard time believing me when I say that insurance is “Fun”. When most people think about dealing with insurance, it probably ranks right up there with a root canal.
However, it’s in people’s poor past experiences that our opportunity lies; both in sales and with our employees.
Anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE to have fun. I could have fun at a funeral. The enjoyability of our business and our industry lies in our ability to foster a culture of fun. I would go so far as to say that a key component of our success lies in this as well. That’s one of the sources of joy and areas of challenge in what I do every day. How do I take an industry that’s all about contracts, numbers, exclusions, and provisions and make it fun.
Fun (or at the very least enjoyable) for our customers and our employees. At the end of the day, much like anything in life, it comes down to attitude. It comes down to a choice and we choose to make it fun.
Winning is FUN.
Impacting and serving our community is FUN.
Seeing a customer have a completely different experience than what they expected is FUN.
Watching our employees succeed, grow, and achieve goals is FUN.
Ringing the bell in our office is FUN.
Helping new homeowners buy their first home is FUN.
Helping an investor buy their first property is FUN.
Working together with other fun people is FUN.
Celebrating together is FUN!
At the end of the day, no matter what it is that you do, it comes down to a choice. Are you just going to show up and grind it out every day? Or are you going to choose joy and choose to have fun?
As for us, we choose to make it FUN!
